Here, you will find out ..........
Remote Backup Systems eliminates the human and hardware errors associated with manual data protection systems. Problems such as:
when backups are left in the same area as the computer only to be wiped out by the same catastrophe such as a fire
when no backups are made at all
when backups are rushed through without proper verification
when important new files are added to or existing files are updated which are not part of your regular backup plan or backup routine
when you find out too late that you have been backing up corrupted files because of an undetected virus in your system.
12:30 AM - Your computer "wakes up" and prepares a compressed and verified backup of all nominated files which are then encrypted for security.
1:00 AM -Your computer activates it's modem and calls Remote Backup Systems' host computer which requests a login name and password. Your computer logs in and checks for any upgrades to its software. If it finds any, it will download them and automatically and install them. The backup is verified and then sent. Verification continues every 1028 bytes while being sent then again after it has completed backing up. (If for some reason a backup session is interrupted while transmitting data, it will resume exactly where it stopped as soon as it is able.)
1:10 AM - Backup is finished. Your computer goes back to sleep. An encrypted copy of all your critical files are now safely off-site in our secure storage facility.
(In case of a telephone/ISP outage, your computer will continue to make nightly backups and transmit them all at once when the connection is restored.)
Remote Backup Systems currently uses the latest compression and data encryption technology.
Your securely encrypted files cannot be accessed by anyone, not even us, because you have the only password and encryption key. The multiple layers of security in our system ensure that the only person to access your data will be you!
Once your encrypted files are received by the host computer, they are placed on two separate hard drives and protected by 24 hour monitored security system.
Remote Backup Systems uses DES and Blowfish encryption technology
Peace of Mind................. Installation is simple. You can choose to either do it yourself by either us emailing you a copy of the software, ordering a copy of the software on CD or having one of our consultants come out to install it for you. Setting up only takes a few minutes. Once completed, our remote backup system is completely automatic and requires no maintenance. You can forget it's there and rest comfortably in the knowledge that your computer will, automatically backup all the files you want, as often as you want, without intervention.
Lightning Fast Data Recovery.......................
With Remote Backup Systems, users can restore all or part of their data, quickly and efficiently 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world using an easy to understand interface. We can even "burn" your encrypted files onto a recovery CD which can only be accessed by the encryption key holder (you).
Simply pick the restore option from the menu, tag the files you want restored and your computer restores all the files ...simple! You also have the option of putting files back where they came from, or placing them somewhere else!
Our task specific high speed comunications lines with Telstra give us the capability of transferring information at the rate 2000 k (compared with the fastest modems which run at a maximum speed of 56 k). This means that we can have many many clients backing up their data simultaneously without loss of speed on the client side!
Data Archiving.....................
Remote Backup Systems automatically stores multiple backups of your data. Our system automatically archives your data for 30 days (or more if required) thereby giving you multiple versions of your data files according to date. By archiving your data this way, you have the flexibility to choose to restore your data as it appeared yesterday, or the day before, or even as it appeared 20 days ago! Infact, you can store as many different backups as you require thus giving you the flexibility you need to archive data as far back as you want or need.

Frequently Asked Questions....................
Q. I already have a tape drive and do all my backups. Why would I need a remote backup system?
A. Unfortunately, small businesses do not do proper backups, even though they may have a tape drive. Some people think they are doing backups correctly, but when they really need them, find out to their dismay that their tapes are useless. Virtually none take their tapes off-site. Many people who use Remote Backup Systems have tape drives and use them. They like the added security of knowing that their critical files are safe.
Q. Won't you have access to my company records?
A. No. Your files are very securely encrypted using Blowfish encryption technology before they leave your office. Only you hold the decryption key. We cannot access you files.
Q. Do I have to install a special phone line?
A. No. Our system uses any kind of existing phone line
Q. Can you backup my network?
A. Yes, our system is fully network compatible
Q. What do I have to do? How much trouble will the system be for me?
A. You do not have to do anything. The Remote Backup System software completely automates the backup. After it is installed, on your computer, it requires no maintenance. You just forget it's there.
Q. Will I have to buy a new modem?
A. No. However, the faster your modem is, the less time your computer is on the "net". If you do not have a 56k modem, you may want to consider buying one. Prices for high speed modems start at less than $100.
Q. Will your service work with WindowsTM?
A. Yes, it will work with WindowsTM 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP
Q. What if something happens to Remote Backup Systems?
A. The likely hood of both Remote Backup Systems and you suffering a disaster which results in a total failure of both systems on the same day with all data being unrecoverable is highly improbable. However, we also keep a backup of all encrypted data files offsite for added protection.
